Sorry to hear this penguin, and whilst we know that you use your D3 to its full potential,and there's nowt wrong with that, I don't think this is particularly good news, the components are obviously not up to the job. Lets hope LR can improve on it, but don't hold your breath.

Well I do hope they find a propper solution before I hit 100.000km as then my warranty ends, and seen the convertions I don't plan of buying a new one In a time of chimpanzees, I was a penguin.

Are you talking about bushes? Which specific ones had worn, and what were the symptoms?IE - 05 D3 TDV6 HSE - Zambezi Silver

Don't know yet which one now, but they told me one was already split.
before it were the ones where the wheel-arms are fitted.
If you lift or lower the car you see where it "turns"
The symptoms for the rear one are a floating feeling.

mmm does this make the steering feel kind of slightly disconnected ? ie the front wheel feel like they are slightly alive even when driving straight ahead ?

yup, same feeling. you need to correct direction all the time
it's like when you drive on the highway in the tracks of the truck in the first lane

Penguin,
OK just back from the dealer and there is slightly too much play in the steering for their liking and there is a fluid leak (minor) too in the system.
New steering rack and bits ordered.
This may also account for the slight knocking I am getting that is only audible not physically felt through the wheel.
Will keep you posted post fitting.
PS... my bush is OK

I'll try to take some pic tomorrow.
But it's easy to see, if you raise the vehicle, look at all that is moving/turning and see all the rubbers at the end of the moving parts...

Hello Penguin. I'ts a bit rough that they should be worn after such a short time. Maybe there's something else out of alignment that's putting extra pressure on the bushes?

That's what I told the car holder too, but they can't find "see" anything wrong.
I think that Nessie also had to replace them, as well as an other belgian D3 owner I know. But it's worse on mine.In a time of chimpanzees, I was a penguin.
