| Front Seat Headrest Sleeve Removal |

Can anyone tell me how to remove the black headrest sleeve on a D3 front seat? I know there are two versions one locking and one not - mine are the locking ones!  Headrest removal is well documentted but the sleeve the post sits in isn't 
I am guessing that there is some kind of spring clip which needs to be released from underneath or inside the seat but before I end up breaking one I thought I should ask
