front and rear seat adjustment

Hi, do the head rests on front seats tilt back at all. The boss is exactly the wrong height for these, very uncomfortable driving position.

And do the rear (middle) seats have any adjustment AT ALL, came back from French alps a month ago and have spent time recovering from knackered back ever since. One weeks skiing wasn't worth a month off work, and no the skiing was not the problem.

If we can't improve the seating it's going back.

I don't think it can be tilted - but likely proved wrong - as I have treid the same. It's not affected me as bad but I know what you mean

There is no adjustment on the headrests. It took me a while to get a good position, but now I find the seats very good. Mine is an HSE though with 8 way adjustment. I did drive an XS recently and found the seat a bit odd, but I could probably get used to it.

Must admit - I set mine to Memory and haven't touched it since Rolling Eyes

There's a thread somewhere about modifying the headrests to permit adjustment (but only up-down I think)

I believe the 08 MY (build starts 30 April) will have front headrest adjustment.

A good chiropractor will help you set the seats up properly for you and your wife. I've suffered back pain for the last 10 years, since a bike accident I had. Previous cars have been ok to drive for no more than an hour or so, even with professional set-up by my friend who is a chiropractor. Once I got the D3 to him he spent about 10 minutes setting the seats up for me. At first it felt wierd, as the correct positioning involves a fairly upright seat with the squab tipped down marginally at the front, but I haven't had any backpain since. Poor chap helped sort out office seating for me too, so he has really done himself out of some business there!

As regards the head rest, once the seat is right for you the rest will be just touching the back of the head without pushing your neck forward. Persevere and you may well find this to be the most comfortable car you have ever had.
I know it's not considered "kind" to say no these days, but no. Just no, ok? And if it's not ok, still no.
