Front passenger door fault

First real issue. The front passenger door will not open with the central locking remote or internal central locking buttons. The door will not open manually from the outside. It will open from the inside manually. The lock button above the door handle on partly moves when the central locking is pressed to open. It appears not to fully release. It can be fully released manually .
The following fault codes have been recorded:

PDM-Passenger Door

B10EC-15 (68) Passenger's door double locking motor - General electrical failure - circuit short to battery or open
( on 19-09-2015 11:10:15 at 57176 km )
B1109-11 (6C) Passenger's door central locking motor - General electrical failure - circuit short to ground
( on 16-09-2015 13:47:44 at 56939 km )

Any thoughts or help to rectify would be appreciated.

pretty sure the actuator has failed - do a search on here for how to replace. My rear door has gone the same way but not got round to fixing yet as slightly less urgent than a passenger door would be Thumbs Up

My right rear door did the same. LR replaced the entire locking mechanism.

From all my research and the valued input from forum members the I came to the conclusion that it was the lock mechanism itself and not any electrical fault. I asked LR to have a look. They are replacing the entire lock mechanism tomorrow under the extended delivery.

Thanks to all the members and the forum:- what a tremendous resource Bow down Bow down Bow down Thumbs Up Thumbs Up Thumbs Up h

I had same issue on my 2010 D4 passenger door. I ordered a lock from a well known supplier in the bay of e (MMJ) and with a bit of a faff, swapped it out.

There was much swearing by me whilst I did it - but easy when you've done one..

Once you've done it- you'll be glad you didn't pay anyone to do it - but it is a bit of a faff - you don't need to take the window mechanism out - just disconnect the glass (tape it to door frame so it doesn't drop) roll the window mech aside and you have access
