Front Passenger Door - Central Locking

I've got a really strange behaving central locking issue...

Double click the car key remote to full open the car & when the passenger front door opens, it wont central lock that door when I come to fully lock the car, the internal lock doesn't move back into position by the interior handle when locking. It wont lock via the internal central locking button either. I have to restart the car, drive until the auto lock system kicks in over 10 mph. Then the door locks.

I've also had one back door not opening from the keys, but this issue seems to have trumped it now!

Any ideas chaps?

It kind of sounds like your door latch actuators (a module) are on the way out… Silly question but what happens if you have the car locked and you pull the external handle on each door like you’d open it?

There are a few threads (use search) on how to replace DIY.

If I pull on the Passenger door it opens & sets the alarm off. The other doors are locked.

I'll have a search, cheers!

It’s extremely likely the actuator module on that door is Censored. If you end up changing it/them yourself, there are (IIRC) instructions on how to do it in the wiki. Note that all doors have different modules and therefore different part numbers.

I'm in somewhat of a similar situation.
Both back doors don't lock with remote anymore.
LHS Rear can however be manually pushed in & locked.
RHS rear on the other hand does not listen to manual commands either.
Funnily enough though, when I lock and then unlock , the RHS seems to be locked.

So that's how i'm locking my car nowadays, lock , unlock , lock again, all well Laughing

Nice, thanks for that, worth trying the green splice then, will do that once I finish the bigger jobs.

Hi I've got a very weird issue, in October I was bumped from behind small surface damage sensor damage and tail gate refusing to open although on display said open. Went away 13 weeks later got it back to what I can only describe as a living nightmare main issues are on display it flashes tail gate open, front passenger door open drivers door open. Won't lock when it does horn sounds and within mins alarm goes off. I have to disconnect bat so alarm doesn't keep going off. Sent to main dealer to be diagnosed and they said passenger door lock fault.... so paid £££ to get it changed and still got faults. Garage that repaired car from bump fitted new sensors and new module. I bet they have messed electrics up??? Any thoughts please as I'm at whites end
