Front parking sensors??

Front parking sensors??

The last couple of days my front parking sensors have been getting on my f Censored g nerves.Every time i slow to a stop at a junction it goes off Evil or Very Mad .Is there a common fault with these that can be fixed? if not can they be turned off completely(they are getting annoying now Rolling Eyes )

I thought they switched themselves off above a certian speed, and didnt come on again until reverse was selected Confused My D3 Build Thread

Reverse seems to work fine,its just the fronts that are driving me bonkers Evil or Very Mad

As you have an early D3 this is normal operation. Select reverse and PDC comes on. When going forward front PDC operates until 10mph(approx). When you slow back down to 10mph(ish) the front PDC comes back on. Unless you switch it off from the button on the dash.

On 2007MY on this reactivation feature has been deleted. To get round the issue a new PDC module is req. Around £62 +VAT.

The problem with mine is that every time i slow down the beeper goes off,even if there is nothing infront of me.I can turn it off with the button but why is it sensing something that isnt there?? Confused

i removed the front number plate plinth and mounted the plate straight to the bumper.Problem fixed,dont know how but it is Mr. Green i suspect that one of the screws has chaffed a wire so when i get more time i will pull the bumper off and see whats gone wrong Neutral
