No pads recently - power steering up to the level.
Odd, isn't it? If I have time I'll take some covers off tomorrow and have a better look 2007 D3 SE - currently having all sorts bolted to it...

Hiya
Also wished to add if I may that when I replaced both my front struts I didn’t need to go anywhere near the steering etc
Know when I replaced mine it was like night and day in improvement
Plus noticed , is that a squashed pipe , or hole, have circled it
Hope u get it sorted out and indeed what’s always been mentioned , great satisfaction doing ur own spannering
Indeed should settle down, wonder if they may have undone the bottom wishbone bolt as that would kick ur alignment out , but of course that’s very unlikely they would make that mistake
But of course if in time it doesn’t improve and ur steering checks out fine would be the best course of action to get ur alignment checked
What you've circled is a drip hanging on the pipe - can't smell any fuel and nothings leaking at the moment.... steering is getting lighter as the GT85 works its way in, although I'll change the lower link at some point.
Haynes manual on the way
Hiya
Surprising how the eyes can be tricked , lol
Really looked like a hole or had been melted
Also don’t know if this may be of help ref the lower uj , fingers crossed may save u some money

Thanks gstuart - will have a read of that
Just done the take-away run and the steering is still heavier than it should be - it feels as if you're driving with two front tyres on about 10psi - having a look I'm fairly sure it's scrubbing the inside edges of both fronts so tracking check on Monday. Mystery leak check findings to follow, although everything still dry underneath after wiping it off this morning....

Hiya
Ur so welcome
Wonder they may have accidentally undone the bottom wishbone bolt as indeed that’s the one that’s loosened to adjust the alignment and maybe just done it back up quickly thinking it’s not moved but obviously something has gone on
Would be very tempted to speak to them about it and get it on the hunter alignment machine , at least then ur have a print out of before and after
Even better if u still have a previous hunter alignment printout
Know when I fitted mine that u also have to double check the top of the strut goes up tight against the strut mounting plates
Might be worth just having a good look round , ie top mount, putting a spanner on the bottom bolts to ensure there all tight etc, just for that what IF and would only take 10-20 mins
Not trying to do the garage an in service Just for ur peace of mind
This is mine after fitting new struts

gstuart - Mate that’s as clean as a whistle under there! I’ve got various bits of Salisbury Plain stuck to mine
Will drop the spanner on everything to check and call in to the Indy on Monday - thanks for all your advice 2007 D3 SE - currently having all sorts bolted to it...

Those ARB bushes look a bit odd. Have they been replaced?

That may have been the previous owner, however, there isn’t much that I haven’t replaced now!
Update (a little later than promised) is all’s well - tracking was spot on (done by Indy after replacing the struts). After 7 hours on Salisbury Plain on Thursday everything now seems to have ‘bedded’ back in with steering back to how it was before - guessing everything was new and tight so a little bit of articulation has helped. No more on the leak either - am guessing a pipe was knocked off and put back on during the strut replacement.
Should have seen the guys faces at my local hand car wash when I turned up!!
