front diff repair and drive half shaft refitting |
|
got things apart and bearings replaced.
Insertion of seal TZB500050 on left side of diff. done with approx. 3 mm sticking out. I was remembering how the oil pump seal was sticking out a bit. It even had a little mark all around which led me in having it not fully inserted.
To complete the job I need to reassemble the right drive shaft with the extention tube.
Do I need to attach the drive shaft extension tube to the diff first and then wiggle the drive shaft in or..?
I just want to avoid stressing the seal in the assembly process.
