Living in Africa has some major benefits .....one which is no cats required ..... so I was thinking of replacing the whole system from behind turbo with a nice 2.5 inch freeflow pipe?
Any known challenges I will face? Will the turbo overboost due to the restriction being removed? Vehicle has a turbochip so will that manage the boost within limits?

Hi Aubrey.
I have a Kahn system (no cats) psssst ...... Dont tell anyone ,
No Know challenges...... rev's harder , sound like a V8
Only problem is that she puts down a lot of black smoke under heavy
acceleration ..
Also change the air filter to and ITG one , I found that mine idealed better
with it .
go for it mate.. and some pics when she is done
Cheers

Black smoke under heavy accelerartion ??? That is unburnt diesel ..... I would think that with turbo boosting sooner and spinning up faster .... less smoke.
Man, I think too much

Worth every penny ....towing is a breeze ...... turbo lag lots less ...... no problem after 5000 miles. That extra torque is addicative .....
I like Turbochip

Worst case I would say it is no better than before. I did note that I have the ability to also get it worse than std. when I am a bit lead footed 8)
Towing I have seen an improvement from around 15.2 l/100km to 14.4 l/100km ...measured over just the 1100 km mark on both.
If you are doing it for fuel economy ...don't!!
If you like to have loads of torque and less gear shifting ...... go for it.
