@Garagegmx we have been through this, I said I do not read every post looking for mentions of gift payment requests. But I am obliged to act when a post is reported or when I do see it.

You wish to remain utterly anonymous here (as a string of similar accounts have) so what grounds do you have to expect my support for a risky payment method?

Perhaps so, but it still begs the question why the person reported mine and not the countless others. Just lucky?

I remain anonymous in relation to location and vehicle, that's all. I just choose not to put it down. Others do likewise, it a choice, not a requirement. In truth if you look at a few posts, it's made plain where I am and what I drive.

In any case, I don't expect your support for that method of payment, but neither do I expect to be accused of scamming people either by asking for payment that way. I'd hazard a guess that all buyers know exactly the implications of what they are doing paying by PayPal Gift and why it's asked for. They get something cheaper, the seller get more for what they are selling.

The bottom line is its your site and you can do with it what you wish, just don't expect everyone to agree with you or your reasoning.

Hey Dave, Trigger or whomever you are ..a site user can report with anonymity which in your case is quite ironic Laughing

The irony is your a Mod trying to inflame a post.

Actually never asked who it was, just their motive.

Not trying to inflame anything... the amount of people who ask me if you are the said persons is more than just a coincidence...the patterns of information, your style of grammar \ typing \ mannerisms \ location and just about everything would lead people to think this is the case. People Keep thinking you are changing site identity and then asking for old identities to be wiped Confused ...is it a wonder you have been reported Confused

Shocked With this sort of behaviour, is it any wonder Martin is suggesting a safer way to use Paypal?

I would have liked to see that the site rules require a member to reveal his "general" location, maybe 5 of the 6 digits of the postcode before they can sign up.

Maybe there should also be an understanding that payment should normally be made by EFT, and that a prerequisite of this is that each party reveals their full contact detail to the other.

I'm happy to tell anyone where I am should you have a reasonable reason to ask, and am lucky enough to have visited, and been visited by, a number of members, all of whom (even DT) have proved to be delightful.

This is becoming less and less about Paypal and more the hunt for Dave. It's all a bit immature. Your wrong, but believe what you want I am past the point of caring.
