seriously though take the Discovery (NOT the caravan) & drive along the French/Spanish borders crossing to and fro between France & Spain, some lovely views & great views.
There's a list of Cols in my gallery - I really should add to it.

take a copy of the v5 with you and carry your licence with you too - the random spot checks can get you - especially on frid and sat nights. The french plod have learnt that nicking people speeding through villages on A roads is a great money earner - even if the road is straight if you wazz through a village that is a 50 KPH limit at 5omph the tiresome ****s will pop out with their radar gun and whip €90 lunch money off you (usually by escorting you to the cashpoint) Ask me how I know....2006 TDV6 HSE Wrapped Matt Black STOLEN NOT RECOVERED

We are of to France again next Saturday. Towing with the Disco for the first time with our new trailer tent. Driven in France for years with no problems. I'm very firmly with the previous "will the Disco get us there" thread however, so driving in France doesn't bother me as long as my baby keeps going, and the suspension doesn't fail again.....enjoy your trip.....and the smooth roads.....

As in England the weather in France at the moment is excellent. If anybody fancies a beach holiday than the il de re takes some beating. Lots and lots of cycle tracks.
