For those going to Vendee region or anyone going via Rouen. Have a plan. Main bridge is still out so carnage with long delays. Meant to be fixed by end of August but it has been bust for well over a year so wouldnt bet on it.James favourite hobby is writing in the third person.

Arrived on site at Le Pin Parasol at 18:30 today, checked in and then it started lashing down, got soaked to the skin within the first 10 mins. Been raining since we got here but hope it will be fine tomorrow as I need to get the awning up and we have no room to move in the tin tent.
Once I get a chance to post some pics I get them up.

Which bridge Mr K? I'm heading down to Pin Parasole this Friday. Normally go through Nantes over the impressive St Nazaire bridge.

was canoeing on Lake Junay on Saturday - weather was lovely.
Been on Pin Parsol twice, but its usually full of bloody brit tourists ( )
Used La Ferme du latois (a dutch site closer to Coex), again this year, much nicer.
Weather forecast for the Vendee when we left on Sunday morning didnt look great for this week, sorry
Came back via Nantes, and it was a bit windy over the bridge (found out later it was due to Hurricane Betha) - D4 towing in that wind was superb, was holding 110kph pretty much all the way from Nantes via Rennes back to Caen.

At least you have 3G working tho Dale
Only just, signal was good but service pizz poor, guess it was down to the number of users on the camp site all using their MiFi units. In 14 days we used 2Gb in total, but like we say in Ireland, half aloaf is better than no bread.
