FR aux tank

Since fitting my FR aux tank, filling up with diesel is a bit erratic -- sometimes the odd 160 litres fills without any delays, but sometimes it fills the first 100 litres quickly, and then it slows to a trickle. Anybody else experiencing this? Advice?

Check for a blocked or kinked breather pipe. Who fitted your tank ?

Lazarus Fitment Centre in Centurion. Same place that fit HLS' stuff.

What Heine said.

I had a similar issue, took the wheel arch plastic out and neatened up the pipes and found a kinked breather. Since the fix I had no more issues

Thanks Heine & Baben. The car is going for a service at LR Centurion / Lazarus on Monday and they need to sort out the continuously bleeping rear PDC after fitment of the RWC, and I'll sommer ask them to check the breather pipes. Will keep you posted.

What RWC do you have . I blocked off the middle right one with Prestik and problem solved

I have the FR RWC. Tried blocking sensors off (based on your posts of 2007 IIRC), but it still beeps like crazy. They may have damaged a sensor with the fitment, which is why I want them to first try and sort it out... We'll see on Monday.

If a sensor is damaged or disconnected it will give a high-pitched constant beep.
You may have surface damage on one of the sensors perhaps? I had a scratch on one of mine and had to replace it.
Otherwise, try double-sided tape on the side of the sensor. worked for me

The prestik trick does work as well if you want to find the sensor that is causing the beep. put a thick blob on each sensor and the beeping should stop. remove one at a time to get the culprit

The Service Advisor, Workshop Manager, and Regional Technical Consultant (or some similar title) all claim that the PDC beeps due to it seeing the RWC and/or spare wheel. I explained the Prestik action, but they do not even want to try it Mad . I'll still fight this one with them, but I'm back to Midrand again for future service...

Danie, just get a ball of prestik and DIY, that way you will know which sensor is the problem child, and can work from then on with data
