Follow us they said
Popped to see a friend in a nearby city and went to his old mountain home which had a few offroaders driving around in little suzuki machines all tricked out lifted, lockers,front/rear winches.
I am very familiar with the tracks as I was there when my friend made them(15km offroad course)
Didnt plan to venture offroad but when they jocularly quipped "follow us" I did...

My friend sold the place 3 years ago and the tracks were well overgrown...with brambles...needless to say the car looks like it has been flogged by a cat-o-nine-tails..a bit buffing required. So we dropped down a rock face and up a long climb with a little belly rubbing over undulations the driver of the jimny was shocked I followed and conveyed this to his buddies. At the top the track splits right not too hard route and left a very narrow rough track with a few rocks to clamber,They went left. I followed all the way with four in the car until a rather steep climb with a rock step half way up..first jimny took a few attempts then made it..second one front diff lock would not engage..he was winched up.(red one in screenshot of video) the last one cooked his clutch and rolled back into the trees..stuck..so that left me...and..up we went without any drama(I have climbed this before and getting the right line is crucial)..having crested the hill they set about winching clutch boy up..We had people waiting to go for dinner so I didnt wait and said goodbye with"next time, you can follow me"hehe
One of the passengers has a jeep wrangler..he now wants a discovery. It is better to have and not need it then need and not have it.
