| Fogs & washers: Joy & Deception |

That's life: Yin & Yang, Jekyll & Hyde, joy & deception, fog lights & headlight washers!
I took the occasion of replacing my damaged front bumper (S base spec) to upgrade my Disco with front fogs and headlight washers.
Joy: as soon as the new switch was fitted, the front fogs came on. No hassle whatsoever. 
Deception: drove to a nearby Land Rover garage (not a stealer) asking to activate the head lamp washers. The man is a LR fanatic and has been working on Defenders, Discoveries, Range Rovers etc. for ages. Much suprised hence, when I went back to pick up my Disco: the man said he could not activate the washers, because the software he is using (Autologic) does not allow it. He tried, so he said, but it did not work out and the Autologic software hung.
Same thing for the Daylight Running Lights.I know my car has this feature, but it had not been enabled so far. Autologic refused to enable this too, I was told. 
I don't know what to think: the man is pretty experienced in LR business and has a good reputation. And I don't know what to do know. Anyone any idea what could be going on here and what I could/should/must do about it?

I think the system he is using can only enable certain things.
You need something like a FaultMate from BBSSpy to enable all the things that the dealer say you can't  Bodsys Brake Bible
D4/D3 Remote FBH heat kits
BAS Remaps/ EGR Blank
Transmission Flush
Software updates/enabling
Clock/ SNOTM /3Flash / 4x4Info /BT Update /Service Reset/Error Codes / Gearbox Reset

Hopefully getting my headlight washers enabled tomorrow so I'll let you know how it goes. Dont know what system is being used before you ask  A happy childhood ... is the worst possible preparation for life.

Autologic CAN do it.
Took my Disco to a different independent LR garage this morning and asked them if they could enable my DRL and my newly fitted headlight washers.
Guess what: in fifteen minutes or so the job was done. With Autologic. So obviously the Autologic sofware is indeed capable of enabling these (and who knows what other) features.
And I will have to reconsider my opinion about the skill of the technician I went first to...

By looking over his shoulder when the technician was doing his thing, I noticed Auologic offers the choice between the two indeed. I went for the Scandinavian settings. If my frazzled failing memory is correct which is doubtful then:
Swedish = lights on when ignition activated
Canadian = lights on and off when EPB applied or released
I went Canadian .........
Please feel free to correct me if I got it wrong .....
