Fog Lights

I have read here that there is a problem with the front fog lights, my 2006 SE fog ligh do not work, I also read that TFC did a turbo chip upgrade and he fixed the problem of fog lights not working. Is it a simple job or does it have to go to the stealers?

A few people had problems with fog lights not working.Cause of most of these cases was a wire directly at the back of & leading to the foglight wearing on an exposed metal edge causing the fuse to repeatedly blow.Check your fuses and remove the foglight bezels to let you check that dont have the same problem.Bezels just pull straight out by pulling at the finger hole where the bezel edge meets the lamp glass.

Think you might be getting the issue of enabling the LR Driving Lamps ( spotlights) confused with the fog lights.Driving lamps require enabling via the diagnostics system, foglights don't.

Hope this helps.

I have had trouble with the fog lights. They were repaired once but then went duff again almost immediately afterwards. Second time in at the dealers they replaced the wiring harness (I don't know exactly what that entails), luckily just before the guarantee ran out. Since then (a couple of weeks ago), they have been all right (I think - I don't use them very often).

BTW, I think there is another thread here somewhere in which someone posted photos of fog light wiring with cracks in it.

When I had the front bumper off last year to do the A-Bar, I did notice how fragile the fog lamp loom was and how loosely its attached - I gaffer taped mine up tight in the bumper to hold it secure (and get it well clear of the huge holes I was drilling) - oh and I've never had any issues with mine Thumbs Up
