Had a flat tyre today. Self tapping screw had wriggled it's way in and robbed it of air.
£17.50 to repair. Can't get better than a Kwik Fit Fitter? Or could I? D3 HSE V8...

I thought repairs were free?
what about that self sealing compound you can put into your tyres? would think that is cheaper than 17.50. 2004 TDV6 HSE Auto Zambezi Silver

I think Kwik Fit charged me £15 for the same repair last year. Cheap compared with the price of a new tyre! Discovery 3 tdv6 7 seat Buckingham Blue
Had it since new - sold Jun 17 after 12 years and 214,000 miles

Not any more, or at least not in Chester. Never been really convinced about the tyre weld stuff. As a temp fix maybe, but when you do get it repaired it's a bit of a mess. £17:50. Did think it was a bit steep for a puncture repair kit though. D3 HSE V8...

bad luck matey... maybe those MTR's look like a good idea now
I have a small nail in my drivers side front... no idea how far its gone in but its been there for months... no loss of air yet. But at least I know that when it does go down it can be repaired for £17.50

From what the Kwik Fir Fitter said, it looked like it had been there a while and had slowly, over time, worked its way in. Probably driving around Wales this weekend didnt help.
Re. the fix, as long as it's not in the side wall or very, very close, they will repair. D3 HSE V8...
