Hi,
Looking at get a fixed tow bar for 2012 discovery four but got in my head about side arms that attach to chassis. Do they fit if you have full size 20" alloy spare with plastic cover over it? Might be a silly question. Just want that type as bike rack is flange type so save buying new rack. Can pick up ones on eBay at reasonable price. Many thanks

Hi,
Some folk have said get the genuine one or own over the witter as thicker and better looking. Who makes oem? Where best price for genuine preferably? Is worth contacting site sponsor too see if any deals on. Any advice will be helpful.

I have the fixed towbar and a 20" alloy spare, and it was fitted with a 265/50x20 tyre, so bigger than normal, and no problem with towbar side bars. Dont know about the plastic cover though.

Many thanks,
I have lost faith in the detachable towbar from what is being said on here so going to get a fixed one. For the sake off few hundred quids I know my trailer will still be there. If problem landrover should just get rid off detachable and replace with fixed done. Been told by local Indy garage to not get a witter but the oem or genuine as thicker. Need to save some pennies to get one now

I've got this one with the only complaint being the finish. I gave it 2 coats of 2k black epoxy before fitting and the edges of the factory paint have still begun to lift, therefore I'd expect it to otherwise be very rusty by now. Other than that it's spot on and very well made.
