Fitting roofrails to a 'S'

Hi,
We are planning a trip to the Kalahari and need to fit SE roofrails to an 'S'.Do they go on top of the black strips that are currently on the roof,or do you have to remove the strips?If the strips stay on,how do you locate the holes without damaging the strips?How is the strips fastend to the roof? Bow down

The strips need to be cut and removed. You can down load the instructions from the LR site which tell you where and how

Simple enough job, Im mechanicaly innept and managed it in less than half an hour Thumbs Up I started off with nothing and Ive still got most of it left.
