Fitting process for an A Bar

Following purchase of an A bar would be grateful if anybody has a step by step guide for fitting one Question

Waiting for Light Force Group buy for a couple of spots, should I delay fitment until lights arrive?

Cheers

Instructions are available here http://www.ownerinfo.landrover.com
Lights can be fitted afterwards so no need to wait

Before you strip off the front bumper & etc, check the contents of the fitting kit. In addition to the plastic brackets (2 off) there should be two steel brackets (Mounting Brackets) for attaching the A frame to the internal steel bumper. LR in their infinite wisdom have decided to exclude these brackets from fitting kits. Without them, you can't fit the frame. I'm currently chasing it and thinking of making my own. Brookwell's in Newton Abbot, Roger Young's in Cornwall and LR Series are all investigating with LR. (LR Series currently chasing under Sale of Goods Act as the fitting kit is not suitable for the purpose for which it is intended).

The "Large One" has tried with no luck (yet).

His quote "Yes, you can buy the fitting kit from Land Rover BUT you can only get the kit for a winch version and there is no migration bits for PDC and there ARE NO MAIN MOUNTING BRACKETS...in the kit. You cannot get them seperate...you will have to either make or steal them....
I spoke with a guy @ L/R and he said theywere left out of the kit for reasons of cost Yawn Rolling Eyes WTF"

If anyone's got a template (spare bracket) I could copy I'd be grateful for a loan.

Thanks Guys.

You were right, my fixing kit is without bumper brackets, I too would therefore be keen to get template/drwg or source some. Could get some made up but would need some guidance.

Cheers
