Fitting Mantec Plate

The Christmas break is my 1st opportunity to fit my plate from Mantec Goup Buy 4 but it's been chucking it down here all day today so haven't even had a chance to go anywhere near the motor to see what's involved. All I know is that it's a relatively simple job and 4 bolts so even within my limited capabilities with a spanner!

Sunshine forecast for tomorrow here so looks as if I'll be able to get out and fit it (SWMBO permitting). Presumably it's a one man job and doesn't involve jacking up the front end or putting it on ramps or does it?

Just put it into off-road mode and you'll be fine Thumbs Up

It is one man job ...it does help if you have a trolley / bottle jack just to hold it in the right position ...but it can be done without with some f'ing and blinding Wink

Thanks DG.

Sunshine as promised this morning, have trolley jack, a good vocabulary and you've given me the confidence to get out there and get the job done.
Bow down

It's a piece of cake! Just make sure you have a gopher ready to bring you coffees & bacon butties, plus the odd correct sized socket spanner thingie. Thumbs Up Thumbs Up

Hi Nick - Seasons Greetings to you and your family.

Haven't done a huge amount to the motor since you kindly swapped our front bumpers over and fitted the ABar and LR lamps!

However, if I was to list the recent slight mods:

Wired up the ABar LR lamps to the main beam circuit and changed the H1's for Osram Night Breakers
Changed the H7 main beams for Phillips Technic Extremes
Fitted front and rear LR Lamp Guards
Fitted front and rear LR mudflaps (got these new at an excellent price from EBlag but will replace with D1 fronts and late Series rears when they break!!)
After Market Boot Liner
LED Tower Red Stop and Tail Lights
LED Mini Tower Side & Number Plate Lights
Mantec Sump Guard (now going on on Saturday - large lunch today)
Disco3.Co.uk reflective orange sticker!!!!

Also collecting a spare 4 set of 18" 5 spoke alloys with centre caps and with Pirelli Scorpions fitted from Batmanarc on Sunday and waiting for Tasmod to sell some more stainless sill protector plates

The motor's being collected by Lookers Chelmsford tomorrow morning for some warranty work including failed FBH. They want it for 2 days so may get a channce to take a photo or two for you on Saturday. With any luck they will deliver it back washed and valeted! Thumbs Up
