Fitting Cruise Control

Hi all, Im a new poster on the forum. I have a 61 plate D4 and wish to add cruise control. Is it a case of changing (or adding the buttons to) the steering wheel and then enabling via a computer or is there a module I have to add ??? Have been told cruise is installed just needs the buttons and activating ?? Thanks

Yes, fitted Cruise Control buttons on my poverty spec MY2012 GS and Bodsy enabled it with his IID Tool.

All connections are already there, only difficult bit is removing the air bag from the steering wheel.

Removing the airbag is not technically difficult it's just a PIA job. You need a wire with a hook on the end to grab the hook inside the steering wheel which you can't see as the only way to get at it is through small hole on the left hand side of the steering wheel.

Just buy the right tool on ebay - removing an airbag takes seconds with it.
