Fitted DRL
Evening one and all i have just fitted some phillips DRL to my D4
Does anyone know what colour the side light wire is at the plug at the back of the headlight so i can auto turn off when the headlamps come on ??MY18 D5 HSE LUX😎

On a D3 the sidelights are Red/Orange on the RH side and Red/Black on the LH side. Not worked on a D4 but LR tend to keep the same coding.
The other way of finding the sidelights is that they tend to have a unique colour whilst the dipped and main are variations of blue.
Cheap multimeter would help.

Is part of the light within 400mm of the outermost part of the vehicle (wheel arch spat on a D3/4)? They are Phillips daylight 4 £59.99 off the bay
Really easy to do 3 wires + - and a wire to your sidelight to detect when lights are on so DRLs go off.
I tried different positions but didnt fancy cutting the bumper but wanted them in a similar position to the OEM ones.
The kit comes with small self tappers but when i was deciding where to put them i kept attaching them with industrial double sided foam tape ( like the type used to fasten interior mirrors)
But it is that good on the last fasten i couldn't get em off so thats how they are fastened
hopefully for good
The whole job even with deciding where to put em took about 2 hours( took me longer trying to get the pics on here) MY18 D5 HSE LUX😎

Take the pictures, save them on your computer. log into D3, go to gallery and use the Beta uploader, really easy to do. If you still have problems post again and I will send you my e mail for you to send me the photos and I will post them for you.

I managed to put the small control box in the battery box and route all the cables round the webasto and into the front of the radiator area where a bit of welding wire helps to fishthe cables upthrough the gap behind at the corner of the rads to behind the front bumper MY18 D5 HSE LUX😎

Bracket shown mounted with selff tappers had to pack top out with washer and double sided tape to obtain correct light angle.
