first time laning in my D3 |
|
i've been laning / p&p with my 90 for a while, but have just come back from the lakes (cycling weekend) and took the opportunity to try the disco on "the Fox" at grizedale.
tbh the disco was impressive, far smoother ride than a 90, no wheelspin, plenty of clearance and almost too much engine braking in low 1st. i could hear the tc working on the brakes at times.
i've done the lane a few times in my 90, i can't believe how well the disco coped. full marks to land rover.
all that said i didn't enjoy it! i'd be far happier with a set of rocksliders, and bumpers i could hammer back into shape.

Maybe it's time to PM RLD... The next American ex-pat that calls it a "truck" is going to find out what 2.7 tons feels like on their foot...
