First Landrover Purchase Advice
I am new to Landrover and am taken with the Discovery3 .The shape is distinctive and were we live this will come in useful but and this is a big issue and that is about reliability!!
The model I am considering is a 2016 Landmark with just under 5 k miles one owner which I understand is the last made before the new Disco 4.I have test driven it and it goes well but that's just a short journey.
Has anyone any views on this model any points to look for .At the moment I just see horror stories which is frankly putting me off.One is about outside temperature sensors which are reading incorrectly which I understand is messing up engine performance.
Currently i I have a BMW 535d touring which has been brilliant so obviously nervous about the change.
Any advise and views greatly appreciated.

Outside temp reading doesn't affect engine, but there is an issue with the heating system that may or May not be fixed, only winter will tell. 2016 Landmark is a great car (having driven my folks' one) and is in great demand due to the general "not sure" feeling towards the new model Discovery.

I'm on my second 2016 MY D4, one HSE and one HSE Luxury. One new, one 12 months old.
The first one was nigh on perfect for 35,000 miles (I do a lot of those!), although the second one has given me some engine management issues (over the 18,000 miles that I've owned it) which has seen it in the dealer for the last 8 days. However, Land Rover Assitance have treated me like Royalty and the basic car is considerably better than brilliant and more than good enough to forgive it a few eccentricities
My mileage is going to increase over the coming year, to nearer 40,000 miles a year and I have no wish to slum it in anything less
A late, low mileage, D4 (especially high spec ones) are highly sort after - I'd go for it before someone else does
