First hello and Help!!! - Front PDC retrofit |
|
Hi,
Firstly hello , got my first D3 a couple of weeks ago - Sept 07 GS Auto - Java Black, Black Leather, 20inch wheels - enjoying very much following trading in my BMW 5 series. - Will post pictures to the my gallery as soon as I put the car back together!!
Secondly thanks for all the great info on this site, it has been a great help.
Since purchase I have changed the steering wheel to a leather one, added the cruise buttons (worked straight away), and the stereo buttons, added silver roof rails.
This weekend I have added front fogs, front PDC sensors and washer jets.
HELP - The car already has rear PDC (standard), in other posts I saw that the when retrofitting fogs and front PDC the connectors are under the drivers front light - the fog lamp connector is there BUT there is no connector for the front PDC What do I need to do now
I was hoping I plug it all in and put the car back together and get someone like TFC to activate it along with the washer (and I'll get that car tuned at the same time), so I can then move on to beef up the stereo a bit.
Many thanks in advance.

Welcome Kuli, I don't know the answer to your questions, but a bump up the list will do no harm

I have added some pictures to my gallery since I could not figure out how to put them in a post - sorry I am a dumb newbie
The silver gaffer taped piece is the wires from the sensors in the bumper just pushed out of the way for the photo
Not sure why the connector is not there unless it has been placed else where??
Hope this helps! Where is the PDC module located?
Thanks for any help you can provide

The sat nav is a standalone Panasonic unit - the power wire plugs into the 12volt socket in the front console, but hope to drill into the side and run the wire down to a new 12v socket behind the dash plastics. The unit is just wedged in so you can remove anytime - planning on creating a simplecover to stop thiefs seeing it!! Works really well their normally hooks onto 7+ sats in under a minute. Thx
Want to try and get the PDC sorted out before I fix the wiring for the sat nav

The PDC module is to the rear of the LHS 'C' pillar, no idea why the connector isn't there

Thx, I take it it is possible still to integrate with the existing pdc, just a case of running the wiring job back to the pdc module (or somewhere along the way). Can I get hold of a wiring diagram from anywhere? Then of course it has to be enabled
