Joined the forum thinking about getting a D3 then got excited and ended up buying the first one I drove today!
Here it is...nothing special to you guys I'm sure but I'm incredibly excited to pick it up next weekend.
I don't think I did too badly at £11,950, 90K miles with new front arms already fitted, they're doing the cam belt for me, replacing the windscreen due to a couple of chips, tinting the windows and taxing it for 6 months.
Thoughts as to any immediate and fairly low cost upgrades?

Worth checking if the oil pump needs repalced, I can't remember when they sorted them out, if belts are being done. If it fails it takes the engine with it.

Is it odd that I quite like the tango!
Certainly like the look of the side steps so will look into that if not too expensive for a good set rather than cheap.
LEDs expenso?

I, too, like the orange color up front and on the sides. But mine is a nice blue, all I can say
To OP, try the following:
- the improved cup holders for front center console, that way your drinks won’t fly away
- internal cabin lighting to LED, that way you’ll see something
Both are really easy DIY jobs anyone can do to build some confidence with tinkering
And welcome

Hi Bunn,, welcome to the money pit f you're lucky it wont be that bad and the members on here will guide you in the right ( and cheaper) direction should things go wrong.
I'm not technical or an experienced tinerererrr...unfortunately moved away from my dad's home town 3 years ago and he's amazing at all things manual. Also a car salesman for 45 years until he retired a couple of weeks ago so could generally get things fairly well priced!
A couple of small projects as you've recommended will be perfect.
Can I ask if you have any quick links to the bits I'd need?

Appreciate the welcome!
I've been on a few forums (fishing & beekeeping) and always have a laugh. Love the willingness to help each other, too. Hopefully this is the same!
I know that I need to put some effort into searching for things before asking, but sometimes asking on a fresh thread is best as other threads have become way too long. Hope people don't mind..

Plenty of options for LEDs - Amazon.co.uk for VANSSI 501 W5W LED bulbs (take off the existing plastic, replace bulb, put plastic back) or PowerfulUK for complete light replacements (you remove the old lighting unit and replace it with new).
Improved cup holders - first look at yours whether they already have the extra padding or not. eBay or any of the LR spare parts dealers will hook you up with new ones. Sometimes on sale here, too. Simply lift up old holder, replace with new.
You might want to add your future D3 to your profile, too.

''Tis indeed. All lunatics together in this asylum.
Hadn't thought about that but will certainly look into it. Will drive it for a few weeks at least first so that I can feel the difference if and when I get it done.
I didn't get it to be fuel efficient but anything that can make it more so would be great. My daily commute is 36 mile round trip half M5 half country lanes.
Assuming there are a few different remapping options.
