Hi all,
Just got my shiny new IID and have hit an immediate speed bump. Trying to do the initial firmware update, and it says build 2764 is available so I download. It gets partway through the install then says Program unit 5 has an error and locks up.
Eventually I disconnect and try again. It says the new build is installed, but gives me the option to reinstall. I try that, bombs out at the same point.
A bit disheartened I plugged it into the car and was delighted to find it booted up, and I was able to activate and use it! However I then got an email to say it requires a firmware update to 2624 or higher so the new build clearly isn’t fully loaded.
I’ve emailed GAP but given COVID limitations who knows when they’ll be available to reply. I just wondered if anybody on here has had similar issues, and how they sorted them?
Any advice welcome (plus what to do about the persistent B1C35-3A code I’ve uncovered!)
Thanks,
Chris

Replying to my own post may be bad form, but astonishingly I’ve already had a reply from GAP! Apparently it’s an issue with the installer if you use a Mac (which I do). Going to be fixed, but unknown when so I’ll need to beg or borrow a PC from somebody.
Hope this helps any other Mac users out there.
Cheers,
Chris

Final update, GAP contacted me last night and they have fixed the Mac installer. New firmware now installed and working. Great customer service!
