How to find a leak on front struts , Resolved

hi

wished to share my findings in the hope it may be usual to others

had a slow drop on the NSF strut after pulling fuse F26 and leaving overnight

but couldn’t find the leak as i only bubble tested the top of the strut and not around the middle on removing it and pumping it up it didn’t start leaking until the rubber bladder got level with the metal surround @ 3 bar or 40 Psi

which taking a guess it would need to be in off road height in order for the bladder to protrude from the metal strut casing

u can see from the picture it’s leaking closest to the outside of the metal casing and not the inside

hope everyone hasn’t nodded off and fingers crossed will help someone in the future Thumbs Up

Thumbs Up nice test. I'm sure that'll be useful to someone trying to find a leak.
