Actually, your post made me pop out to the car park at work and look at the front of the car.
They are there! but I'd only looked from a distance when I thought about it, and they are nowhere near as obvious as on the D3, almost invisible from a distance.
I can't believe I hadn't seen them when I looked from the house the other day.
In that case they are not very good then as they don't appear to see other cars in car parks.
Will change my name to Stupid of Clanfield!
The button on the dash will light up when they are active.

Thanks guys.
The light comes on, and the rear ones appear to work exactly as I'd expect, even being disabled when a trailer light board is plugged in, but I'm convinced the fronts are not working.
When I sort my phone out and can re-register my GAP IID I'll be able to have a look.

to test - keep handbrake on, put into reverse (or drive and make parking isolation light is on) and get out and walk in front of car. If not sounding then more likely issue with sensor or wiring as I can't image anyone turning off in ccf (but is a possibility obviously)
Remember though, if you select reverse with the trailer board plugged in it will disable all the sensors, it started from MY13, prior to that they did, think it’s to do with the sensors now being connected to one module instead of two, trailer electrics disables the module so none work. Front sensors only work without the trailer lights plugged in.
There is a couple of threads on here regarding it.

As a few of you have probably guessed it was me not the car with regard to the front parking sensors.
In my defence they do not work in the same way as my old D3.
I've been at the gym all evening, but had a quick play with the car and a barrier when i came out.
If you are stationary and select reverse the light comes on and both front and back sensors are activated and work.
If you are stationary and select drive from park or another gear the light comes on and the fronts are activated until you reach a certain speed.
But differently to my D3, if you arrive at your destination in drive and pull into a parking place, even if you stop first, the light doesn't come on and the sensors are not activated automatically.
Turning them on manually gets them working.
In my old D3, the fronts were activated automatically when you dropped below about 10mph.
So, I just need to turn the sensors on manually if moving forward into a parking place without reversing first.
Sorry guys, I'm an idiot.

Ah, thanks for that, I would have thought that a little odd.
As you've said my 55 plate D3 did retain Front sensors with the trailer attached.

Great I knew you would love it.
Glasses - Volvo make a clip; I'll search for the part number.
Phone - I have a mount; landscape mode, to use with Waze or Google Maps, much better than JLR's SatNav.
Merry Christmas

Did you manage to find the part number for the glasses clip ?

Search Volvo sunglasses case on eBay
There is a case which fits instead of the grab handle above the drivers door.
Isthis it?
If so any pictures?
