From what I gather, they reckon that they should be lit and it was just a case of the dealer doing the right thing when setting the D4 up.
TBH, until I could potentially be in the running to own one... I aint that fussed about it
But will check for you next time I'm passing

Serious point, looked at one a couple of weeks ago, stunning in Bali blue, but is it really, really a £50k vehicle?
That's £20k ish more than a decent HSE.
IMO, nope. Welcome "Lola"

Gary I agree, I like the D4 but they do seem to have changed a few bits given it a new model number and spent a load on marketing and put the price up. Although I think 20k difference might be stretching it. Unless you know where you can get D3 HSE for 27k? D3 HSE MY05 Auto

Its the mid range specs that the prices appear to have risen the most compared to the D3.
Unfortunately, thats where I am.
No point in the base one compared to the current D3 & IMHO no point spending huge amounts on an HSE.

Thanks for the best of reviews Simon, I think it answers most of the questions that came up in the forum since D4 launch.

Hmm just been into the dealers and had a drive and a look around the D4. Really not too sure about the whole thing. The front looks very lightweight, compared to the D3. The rear light clusters look like enlarged Beckham Diamonte ear studs (no offence David). The interior, well very smart, but I felt a little too flimsy not so practical. I couldn't imagine my dogs and children in there its all a bit precious. Having said that, the engine is top banana, plenty of torque, beautifully smooth. As for the price....Wow, I had a go in the XS, and I just couldn't get the seat comfy - no electrics. Sat in the HSE, superb but nearly 50 grand!!!!! So had a look at a couple of MY08 FFRR, they looked damn good value in comparison, so I came to the conclusion either wait a year for a D4 - pre enjoyed -or plump for a FFRR. Choices, choices..... 2006 Discovery 3 TDV6 SE auto, Cairns Blue, Lamp Guards, LR Roof Bars - Just love it!
