Finally got my "suspension fault" error message

I was obviously feeling left out.... Rolling Eyes

It's not asking me to keep below 30mph, but I cannot select access or raised on the dial anymore, and I'm getting an amber warning light, sometimes immediatly on startup.... sometimes after 3 or 4 miles of driving..

I'm hoping it's just a sensor Censored Big Cry

It's not going ot pack up on my totally is it?... I cannot get it to stealers till tomorrow, and the snow's coming in tonight!

I'm not sure if this is a coincidence, but… I tried this and it worked and is still working. In other words the problem has not come back.

1. Disconnect and then reconnect the battery after about 30 min.
2. Turn the key until the dash lights come on – don’t start the car
3. Allow the car to do a systems check
4. Press the i button on the indicator stalk until you get to SETTINGS
5. Go through SETTINGS on you steering wheel until you get to Set To Default Setting
6. Press the volume control on the steering to get a yes.
7. Press i button on the indicator stalk to exit
8. Switch the ignition off and lock the car with you inside
9. Wait about 30 seconds and start the car

If you pick up a Parking Brake Fault, do it again but from #2 through #9.

That said – this seems to be an electrical fix - not a mechanical fix.

Good luck.

JR.

PS. I got this tip from Ice Road Truckers when a Kenworth Truck picked up a problem on an engine heat sensor and would not start. Their process was a bit different for obvious reasons, but the reasoning was the same.

I had exactly the same fault before New Year. Eventually the Yellow light stayed on and no height adjustment available. Dealer diagnosed faulty compressor which was only changed last March, and now awaiting for a new one as they are on back order. A temporary one has been fitted which has a noise fault but at least it works. The air intake for the compressor is in the well where the tow ball is kept and I have been told the items I stored in there may have starved the compressor of fresh air causing it to over heat. If this can happen then Landrover should put a warning in the manual and also on the storage cover, not to use the space for storage. How many owners know the breather is located there.

A dealer in York are advertising 10 new compressors for sale on Ebay but it seems my local dealer can't have any of them as they won't get the refund for returning the exchange unit.

is the intake in there?

That locker is full of screenwash, oil, coolant etc. on mine!!!!!

Where needs to be kept clear. That could account for intermittency as stuff moves with enthusiastic driving....... Whistle

The intake is a small black cylinder about 2 inches long and same in diameter. Its easier to feel for than see and its about two thirds up the well, at the left hand side as you look in and as close to the rear as it would go. Blocking the vents on top of the parcel shelf at the side of the blind would also prevent it taking in air.

I've tried the sequence JR...cleared the fault until I selected access height again...and the amber warning bonged up.

Big Cry

Looks like it's down to the dealer.... I'm hoping it's not the compressor gone... I'm currently saving for the clutch and flywheel!

why don't they put a keep vent clear sticker on it then?? I would probably have been careful then rather than just idly wondering every so often why on earth LR had a put a vent there Whistle
