Finally driving one tomorrow?
I might finally get to drive a D3 tomorrow (well, today - Wednesday) - we're getting one on test for an hour whilst Dad's 110 goes in for them to look at the broken air con
Hopefully the aircon will take longer to fix than an hour. Why don't you tell them to take their time and you'll be back tomorrow.
Just make sure you wash the mud off the D3 when you return it
Enjoy the drive.

Been down to Brailes today - I think its your neck of the woods Martin- saw lots of D3's and RR Sports around there. Especially along the A429 from M40 towards Stow. Was one of them you maybe?

Well, how brilliant is the Disco 3 8)
Had a good play in a Java Black base 7 seat TDV6 auto for most of this morning, despite only thinking we'd get a hour or so we ended up with the D3 for 4 hours
I'll the photos do the talking:
Shiny demonstrator
Yours truly wondering what to do to test spangly new D3
Ah ha! It's been raining lots, so let's go and play in the water
Paddling in a lovely ford
Time for a rest now
And again, lazy car
Off home to wave at the Series 1
Poke about under the bonnet
Greenpeace love me was having fun though
Very impressed with the Disco in general, feels great to drive, fantastic engine and some great little features (although not many toys, just the 2 boot seats and the Command Shift to play with really). Good in water too
Very very nice, hopefully I'll be able to get one for a longer period soon to do a proper review.
Gareth, you were very close to me, I didn't see many other Disco 3's about, but then I was enjoying myself a bit too much

Martin, glad you enjoyed your 4 hours in the D3 at long last. It is not a basic from your pics, but 2 steps up to an 'S'. How did you find those seats, I am very interested and a couple of the other guys may be too. Interesting wheels for an 'S' as well, they look like 17" which are useless as can be, but then it does have reverse sensors fitted? What actual spec was it?

That is a weird rouge one as BN says the rouge ones have no reverse sensors, Dom did you know when you brought it yours was a basic baadged wrong, only at Gaydon a member of the DOC came to speak to me about his and he was told it was a S when he brougt it SH from a dealer as a ex demo but it was just a rouge one. I took him back to his motor and showed him what was missing and he complained and got a brand new S model from the dealer
It's an 05 reg so it's only a couple of months old so you'd have thought LR would have stopped sending out the rouge ones by now. My guess is it's an S and the dealer swapped the wheels with a base model for a customer
Martin, what version stereo did it have? The End

BN, no mine doesn't have reverse sensors, I definitely ordered a base 7 seater, the wife reckons the 'S' stands for sexy.2004 Discovery 3 - gone

The sales guy from the dealer said it was a base 7 seat badged as an S.
It had a fairly basic stereo - single slot CD, no keypad. No screen either.
It had the front wheel angle display in the instrument pack, if that helps.
Rear PDC sensors did work
Cloth seats, which I didn't find too bad, but then I never get problems in car seats anyway.
