FFRR going back tomorow getting disco 3 back

Hi all after some irresponsible driver ran into the back of my Disco 3 - 4 weeks ago without causing hardly any damage it went to the repair shop.
We were offered FFRR SE TDV8 as hire car for the last 2 weeks and i must say that i really am missing my disco 3 because i feel a bit out of place driving such a toffs car but it is quite fast scared the s--t out of the missis but very uneconimical and i can honestly say that i wont be tempted to the dark side !!

If you drive it hard then it’s going to be hard on the fuel.

If you drive it like a toff, then your will get better fuel economy than you will from your D3.

In some circles driving a Discovery 3 is considered to put you firmly in the 'toff' camp...

Lowest I've had was 12mpg but that was running as the opening car on a road rally!

I can't believe someone is looking forward to getting back to their D3 after a fortnight with a FFRR. JKP had one for a day or so and it took him a fortnight to forget it and return to permagrin.

It's only a toffs car if you think you are one......... 8)
