Philip Morris - the company that makes Marlboro cigarettes amongst others - wants to buy a company that makes inhalers and other devices used to treat respiratory problems.
Feels like they've made a fortune making people ill, now they want to make money from treating those same people.
Can't help thinking that this is plain wrong.

A bit of balance? They want to become "smoke free", yes, but they want to stay in the industry selling stuff that's likely to be bad for the user (as they themselves admit) - vape products. And they want to buy companies that make stuff that treats the issues caused by smoking and similar products such as vape. So, sorry but it still stinks to me. Visiting from rrsport.co.uk

They'll probably sell you an inhaler and vape combined unit. Vape 'till you cough then use the inhaler to stop coughing. Rinse, repeat. Visiting from rrsport.co.uk

Altria, the US unit did take a stake in Juul (vape, very high nicotine content, very questionable advertising) and I think acquired Cronos (weed)… so it is not very far fetched for PMI, which is a spin out from Altria, to do something similar.
