Any feedback on General Snowgrabber or AT3 tyres?
Looking for some new winter or all terrain tryes.
Looking at either General AT3 or General Snowgrabber.
Thread looks less aggressive on Snowgrabber and is slightly cheaper in price so just wondering if anyone has any feedback on them.
Also any feedback on At3 in snowy or icy conditions would be good too. D4 Landmark MY16 Santorini Black THE LAST

It's worth remembering that while the AT tyres performed poorly in the wet compared to summer and all season tyres, they're also designed to work off-road, in mud, sand, over rocks and on grass. In these conditions they would vastly outperform the summer tyre, and would likely have an advantage over the all season tyres too. That said, the wet performance of both the AT tyres are significantly worse than normal summer and all season tyres, so if your vehicle spends the majority of its life on-road, it's worth keeping this performance penalty in mind.

So far, I've only tried the AT3s on a frosted (untreated) country lane but even with some deliberate firm braking to test the grip levels, I couldn't make them slide.
The AT3s are not pure winter tyres though. They are AT tyres with a winter capability. If you don't plan on going off-road, I'd expect a dedicated winter tyre to perform better on ice and snow.MY2022 D5 HSE D300 - with extra nice bits added

Are you searching for general snowgrabber or general snowgrabber 2, there is a difference.

Would of gone for Cooper weather masters as very happy with them before, but load rating only 100 need 104
After looking at that website you would never buy an AT3
I use to like the old AT2 Grabbers but suffered so many punctures in sidewall
@ Jon
Will still be going in fields and up muddy tracks.

Ok done a bit more research and these seem to be the bee's knees.
winter tyres 235/55 R18 104H CONTINENTAL TS830P
£200 per tyre
General Snowgrabber £91 per tyre.
Perhaps you do get what you pay for but its quiet an expensive one with Contis if they dont work outD4 Landmark MY16 Santorini Black THE LAST

By your own question though it depends whether you're talking winter tyres or AT tyres. From the same page:

I do agree with the sidewalls thing though. I have very much fallen out of love with AT3s since ripping a huge hole in the side of one on a fairly innocuous track in Shropshire (that was only about 1000 miles old) D4 XS, gone, much loved, never forgotten

Les, hopefully this will help as a price guide and what's available.
At least with these tyres they are exactly the same spec as orig euip even speed rating of V, most of the others only had H or lower, so saves another insurance phone callD4 Landmark MY16 Santorini Black THE LAST
