FBH Testing ?

Is it possible to test the function of the FBH without low temps and engine start ?? I'm sure mine used to work (having sat in a cloud of white smoke on a 'cool' day) but I'm not so sure now. Coincidently, my air con used to work back then as well but it doesn't now due to corroded pipes; I've read somewhere on here that the FBH needs climate control set to Auto for it to function ??

Steve

You can test it with a webasto 1533 timer connected, loads of details on here of where to buy and how to fit - a great upgrade!

I don't think you need the climate control set to auto for it to work either Smile

Yes, with a timer (Webasto/Danhag/etc) or the Webasto test software and interface - i.e. something to drive the FBH directly.

I guess you could also chill the outside temperature sensor down to < 6 deg C to and start the engine?

Edit: daft fingers

Yeh I suppose a can of plumbers ice spray would do the trick - we use it to cool temperature sensors at work and they get down to -25*c which is the lowest they register!
