What temperature sensor does the FBH use. Does it have its own coolant or external temperature sensor.
The FBH on my 2010 Disco 4 3.o HSE seems to be running all the time and draining the battery.

Yes, running after the engine switched off and eventually ran down to a stop over a minute or two amid clouds of smoke.
I have now isolated it by pulling fuse 28 as it had drained the battery on the first cold morning this week and today there was smoke billowing out of the air intake tube and diesel dripping out of the exhaust tube joint. I think it is bushed.
I ran the function test on the IID tool but it would not run and gave the E7 error message.

FBH do have a shut down procedure which sounds like the fan running fast.
Clearly something wrong with yours.
Do you have a remote or timed switch on ?
I think you get an E7 code. Check engine run and climate status

Yes it sounds like a turbine winding down gradually after the engine is switched off.
I don’t have a remote and there are no times sessions programmed.
I have run the IID test with engine running and A/C and fan switched off.
I am planning to buy a decent used unit and refurbish it as the new ones are a big investment.
