FBH only starts up for a second with the remote (D4)
Hi!
Have a problem with fitting a remote-start for the FBH in D4 (2010).
First I wanted to test the function of the FBH with the small electronics from Ebay. I think some know these.
If I give the contact accordingly (set blue wire to +12V), the FBH starts briefly - but only for a second and then switches off again immediately.
In the CCF I activated the FBH as follows:
Timed Climate: enable
Fuel Burning Heater: fitted parking heat
FBH Call Start: fitted radio
What have I forgotten - what could be the cause?

Are you saying it doesn’t work with landrover remote or eBay product?
What about when the temperature is below 5 Deg C and engine running ?
If it doesn’t run with any of above I guess you need a usb adaptor and software /laptop to talk to the heater and read fault codes.
The blue wire should be held at 12v to run
If you only have a problem with the eBay item, check it’s suitable for D4 with seller. Try changing the link on the PCB

The heater works perfectly in automatic mode (i.e. when the engine is running and it is cold).
>The blue wire should be held at 12v to run
Yes.
>What about when the temperature is below 5 Deg C and engine running ?
It's definitely warmer in my workshop, but I thought it didn't matter if you controlled the heater via PIN2?
>Try changing the link on the PCB
In both positions, unfortunately, the same picture.

I am afraid that is the question. Maybe someone here can answer whether this board even works for the D4.

I would contact the seller.
He is usually helpful.
Most D4 owners don’t use that cheap PCB.
There should be no need for Ccf changes. Did that make it worse?

I use the Altox…. Since it is gsm operated, i can start it from everywere…
From every building, etc.
And it has a gps tracker and webasto faultcode reader, etc… worth a few quid extra imho
I can change the heating duration, i have it set by default on 45 mins..
And a slight view of the history from today..
Best regards
Harold
