FBH remote control
Good evening,
2014 SDV6 with Webasto Thermo Top VEVO.
Does my car have any remote control options for fbh? Like remote key fob or android app? Or at least timer? Just bought the car and cannot find/don`t have any way of controling it. Or I`m trying to find something which doesn`t exist and its aftermarket option/DIY job only?
Google tells me I need to spend 300+ for remote control kit Please somebody tell me it came with remote control from factory.

Is it a HSE?
I can see from your profile you have a D3 HSE, but is the D4? If so, I believe you should have the ability to set a start time for the FBH via the screen, but the remote would have been a factory option at around £1,000 I believe.
I fitted the genuine LR unit to my XS D4 and it was certainly money well spent in my opinion, such a great feature.Andy

Profile updated, yes its HSE. If seller did not provide fob for FBH, it means whoever bought it, did not pay that extra 1k. Which means I will have to DIY/aftermarket.
You fitted received/antenna and fob ? Cost ?

Until people have seen/felt the benefits, I guess they don’t appreciate what a great feature it is (well in my opinion).
I paid £175 for the genuine LR bits, so fob, antenna and receiver, but that was about 5 years ago. I fitted it myself, which was straightforward, but it does need to be actives by someone with an IID tool, luckily I have my own. A LR dealer can’t do it as far as I know, or an independent garage should be able to with their diagnostic equipment. Hopefully someone better informed will be able to confirm.
There are also other options.whereby you can start be text, but must confess to not really knowing anything about those.Andy

There are people on the forum who will do this for you, supply, fit and enable. Mine was done by Geoff when he was active with us but I believe Flack and Bodsy are among those who can do this service.

I got mine new, genuine LR parts via Bodsy mentioned above and I’m sorry by I don’t have the part numbers, in fact as of yesterday I don’t even have the car either.Andy

I got a T91 unit from eBay for about £40 from a RR 8H52-18D540
and then got the following from LR October 2020 so prices as a guide.
worked without any messing about other than coding "radio" in the CCF under the remote heater. Need to pair the fob to the heater but that is simple - think you press a button on the remote fob on module power up so fit that and the antenna first. (search on here to confirm)
I put my antenna in the correct place on the glass as I am like that, others don't bother.
Hope that helps.
Don't buy a remote fob on eBay as it probably won't work.
An alternative is a Altox in place of the fob. I have and use both.In today's world, if you contribute something, you don't contribute enough. If you contribute nothing, you receive everything.

You just plug the T91 (or similar) in to the connector wrapped in foam and fix it to the car. I assume you have located this?
Connect the antenna and voila. If you want to do it as factory you need to take the C pillar trim off to stick the antenna on to the glass (hidden behind the trim) and the boot trim to dress the cables in.
The instructions for the fob are on here somewhere, same for fitting most likely.
You need to code it with IID/nanocom/SDD or get someone to do it for you.
If you want to have the T91 and fob and the Altox too, you need a Y cable which you can get from the forum shop.In today's world, if you contribute something, you don't contribute enough. If you contribute nothing, you receive everything.
