FBH Remote

Just installed a BritPart FBH Controller to Disco 3. All went well, remote flashes green every 15 sec.
But when trying to operate pushing LR button on remote once lights come on, wait 4-5 sec then push again it does not start the FBH. Car is cold and temp is below 4Deg.

The FBH was working the morning I installed, smoke was coming out of LH wheel exhaust.

Any help or fixes would be welcome.

Regards
Paul.

Do you get any flashing from the led on the controller when you activate it? Any noise of fans in the FBH at all?

It won't start if the low fuel light is on. Thumbs Up
 It can when others can't,
It will when others won't,
It goes where others don't.

Yes, the green LED light flashes every 15 sec as per installation check sheet. No noise at all.

when you press to start count to 3 whilst holding then realease,my bas plip seems to work better that way,if you are using the 3rd button on the remote (lr) you need to set it to flash lights (coming home see handbook) function, also works by supplying power for 3 secs to the wire you connect to the headlights
just reread is your battery fully charged it wont start the heater if below 12.2 volts
 please excuse any grammer/punctuation mistakes,i'm thick,thankyou

But what happens when you press the lights on for three or five seconds? Does the LED status change? It should do, even if the FBH is faulting.

You connected the blue wire to pin 11 of the headlights?

Thanks for all the help, turns out the splice connector didn't cut the remote blue wire on Pin 11 of head light. All working good now. Smile Smile Smile

Only got yourself to blame I'm afraid, those Scotchloks are notorious around the forum for causing exactly what you describe.
Cut and solder every time unless access is a major problem.

Hi guys looking for some help, I have just bought a second hand britpart fbh controller. I have installed in no problem and it works using the 3rd button but I am struggling to connect it to the app as it is asking for a qr code that I don’t have. Also, when I text it I get no response but the previous owner gets a notification when it turns on etc. Any ideas how to fix this?
Thanks in advance
