I've also had this happen quite a few times too - it's done the same once or twice when using the webasto clock

Oh, I've operated the FBH with Fuel level close to the Reserve light coming on, and never had a problem, but I follow the destructions from LR about orientation. LRs are a fond memory, apart from the maintenance.

What I would like to know is if when any of yours has a failed start does the FBH try another restart by itself

..it may be worth seeing if you can take it apart and check the build up of carbon deposits on the glow pin and flame sensor.
Be interresting to see what state they are in after all that dirty diesel going through there G4 Gone ...but not forgotten

Yes may be I would like to see what the fault code is that the unit is logging first.
I think/ hope it is a software problem now, I think the problem may stem from me disconnecting the plugs on the FBH while the power cable was still connected but not really sure, it may be that I have corrupted its programming by splicing the timer wire into the existing red wire coming out of pin 2. Do you know of a good cheap 7 digit code reader?

Howard2, did you really splice into the red wire, or did you cut the red wire and just re-use its pin? I'm not sure what's still active at the other end of the red wire; it's possibly still sending 'cancel burn' messages... Dr. Ian Malcolm:
"Yeah, but your scientists were so preoccupied with whether or not they could, they didn't stop to think if they should."
Transgenic tomato anyone?

Hi Stapldm,
Yes when I first wired in the timer I just spliced it into the red wire which was probably a mistake and may have caused the problem but I have it disconnected at the moment. I have also tried the FBH back to standard wiring but it’s still not always lighting up when the car demands heat.
