I am not sure if it is D3 specific, if not google webasto thermtop dosing pump/fuel pump.
2 pipes, 1 plug, and whatever holds it on, most likely 1 nut/clip.
Pretty reliable things to be honest, easy to test with a battery and two pieces of wire, what is your fault?

It is not D3 specific, BUT ThermoTop V specific....!
Thermotop c pumps will not work on your TTV for instance... also are they fuel specific....
And testing with a battery, wil not be sufficient, it is a metering pump, working on pulses and not continuous current...
If you can not find one with the site sponsors.... maybe I have a few new ones laying around somewhere.... Best regards

Easy to get it to to work with a battery, two wires to pump, one to earth and pulse the live one on and off the posi terminal and there you have it one pulsed pump for priming and testing, done this loads of times, in fact only last weekend on a larger webasto.
Think they are polarity conscous?

TTV pump DP41 is completely different from a TTC or Airtop pump dp2 or dp30 , the last two are working perfectly with pulsing from a battery..
But that is not the subject here...
You can buy a decent TT-V pump for a D3 online... they are rather expensive with the LR dealer I am afraid.
Can be 160 gbp, although I have seen them on eBay for 100 gbp... watch out, they are available in both 12 & 24 v, you need the 12v obviously..
You can buy them pre-used, although I like that for some other car parts.... for such a pump, I think the difference is not worth the hassle...imho . they do wear/break without warning sometimes, when they do, it is always very cold outside, and it can be a little bit fiddely to work on, when it is cold outside..
If you can work indoors, you can take a chance if it is a lot cheaper... Best regards

We've got a long-standing knowledge of diagnosing and repairing the TTV on here, we've been dealing with issues with them since 2005
The TTV pump works fine with a pulsed voltage as a test to see if there is a response.
The important difference with the TTC pump is the quantity delivered per pulse. If I remember correctly a TTC pump will over-fuel and flood a TTV heater. 06 D3 SE / 15 LR D90 XS SW / 88 LR 90 Td5 / 68 BMW 2000 ti
Any issues with the site let me know!

yeah Martin, i understand that..
but "we" also....., quite a few years longer with the older TT series ofcourse and from the start with the TTV, although we ended that business now in favor of other businesses... not that that is important...
does this fact (battery pulsing) help the topic owner, i think not really...
if he is looking for a pre used one, only one thing is important regarding this matter and that is in my opinion: as i stated earlyer : "" testing with a battery, wil not be sufficient" (not suffiecient meaning here, there can be more reasons that it will not work correctly) if it pulses on a battery, it can still malfunction.. that is what i meant and still do..
if the older types dosing pumps mentioned earlyer work on a battery, they use to work also on a (older)heater, but the DP41 not always, at least that is my experience... Best regards

Yes pulsing will help the op as we dont know if he has a dead pump or a wiring issue, wiring ussues not unknown on older land rovers!, hence my suggestion to test the pump.

It’s easy to diy replace.
It’s just in front of the fuel tank.
