Faulty Temperature Gauge

Hi Guys, long time!

I have noticed over the last few days that my external temperature gauge is reading too cold. Today, for example, here in sunny S. France it is 15c (f- off I hear you say in Blighty), and my gauge was showing an outside temperature of 5c, a full 10c off. That by itself is not too much of a problem but the mornings are 1c and my FBH is not firing up!!! Could there be a connection? I had perhaps thought that if anything the FBH would come on sooner given the -10c error. Any ideas?
