Getting the rear bumper off is relatively easy. If memory serves me correct (and last time I did it was in the dark)......
1. Remove rear lights
2. Remove rear wheel arch eyebrows - or at least the rear most portion
3. Remove (or lift the front edge of) the bumper top 'tread' plate
You'll then see all the various bolts and fasteners you'll need to undo / remove. There are a couple underneath the back edge / bottom of wheel arch.
Remember to carefully unplug the PDC harness (under L/H light).
The front most 'wings' of the bumper (under the wheel eye brow) are a bit of fiddle but it should take no more than 30 minutes.
If I've missed anything I'm sure someone will be along to correct me. I see no ships........

Mine have been playing up for about a month now.
Have been to the dealer 3 times now & all they keep on doing is blowing air into/onto them, they work fine for the next couple of hours then fail again.
The annoying thing is the back ones keep on failing intermittently, the front ones are fine.
I can put it into reverse & get the long solid tone, with flashing PDC light, I can then pull forward & then reverse again for it to work as expected. d4 HSE in Corris Grey with Black options pack
D3 with the following
Alive Tuning EGR blanking kit
Alive Tuning Re-map
Alive Atrics console
Samco intercooler hoses (from Alive Tuning)
Alive Tuning De-Cat pipe, lovely tone!
Retrofit OEM Hybrid TV tuner

My back ones are failing every once in while as well.
I think it is worse when the weather and/or the roads are damp.
I read somewhere that it is not necessary to remove the entire back bumper.
I seems that if you get out some screws at the bottom you should be able to squeeze your hand in between the plastic bumper and the metal it is attached to, to get to them.
Did not try that myself though but when one fails permanently surely will try that first before getting the entire bumper off.

berndv....... know what your saying but i'm not sure you can get to every sensor without bumper removal
As it's so easy to remove the bumper , it's probably easier this way and you can also check the wiring loom too
