Faulty Leak Off Pipe

I had new intake manifolds a few weeks ago and while the job was underway my indie suggested new leak of pipe as the original was showing its age.
A couple of trips later I had diesel fumes in the cab and smoke under the bonnet. My mechanic diagnosed a pinhole in the new pipe, so a replacement was ordered. When that arrived it was so below par with loose joints it didn't stay on past I e start of the engine. So a genuine part was ordered and all is well. Moral of the story don't skimp on this item.
Just 'cause you got the power... that don't mean you got the right.
