Faults D3 Tecnician in Dublin Ireland needed

Does anybody on this forum know a good Discovery Technician in the Dublin Ireland
I have a 2007 commercial Discovery 3 with usual fault issues door locks clicking, indicator’s flashing,Hdc not available, etc .Have it for 7 years now with only usual mechanical issues repaired
Tried the usual fixes brake switch, new battery,Tccm module behind battery was clean no ingress or corrosion,no leaks on the floor etc, checked connection behind cluster ok, steering sensor ok
Problem is intermittent, turn on ignition fine for a few minutes then the above starts before I move off ,
As I drive all the rest come up and suspension drops,I noticed on the passenger side it was lower than the right in the morning, could that be the issue? My usual mechanic not available at the moment due to illness.

This is a list I got using my Icarsoft Lr v3.0 tool (just bought it so not an expert user)
Basically what happens is when I first start her after a sleep period I have no problem firing up engine after about 3 minutes idleing,
indicators start flashing and door locks clicking outside temperature gauge and time go off

The fault at the very top of page with the ? Mark comes at this point
If I turn off she will not start hdc faults system etc comes on screen

Two weeks before this happened I had the truck valeted also the night this happened I was driving on a back road in a hurry and went over a speed bump probably too quick as I didn’t see it and a few minutes later it started the door locks clicking flashers on
I have mentioned she’s leaning to one side in the morning and I probably damaged a strut or caused an air leak in suspension
If the suspension has a leak would that cause the door locks/indicators problem ?

The two that matter here in the first instance are P1623-00 (immobiliser) and C1A00-88 (vehicle dynamics)'

What is your battery voltage? Charge it up so that it is at or above 12.5v. It is possible you have a broken earth strap or harness connector from the road incident you mentioned. Check all the earth straps but especially the one from the transfer box to the chassis. (close inspection, it could be attached but corroded!!)

Do you have another spare key? If so try that on the next start attempt after the battery has been charged. Clear all the faults before you attempt to start, try a couple of start cycles and then scan for the codes again with the engine running and see what that brings up on the iCarsoft.

Even so, make sure the capacity has not been depleted from the repeated start attempts and faffing around etc. These cars are extremely power hungry, especially the higher spec vehicles. So you must have a battery with a strong state of charge at all times, or you will invite problems.

Having said that, it will probably drive a bit better if the appendage on the nsf wheel is removed. Laughing

Check the battery and connections. As has been said they require lots of power around 900 cca is a typical battery requirement.

Thanks guys will get back to it tomorrow
I do understand the battery requirements of her so have 2 batteries one on stand by.
Mine is the very base model no steering wheel gizmo’s or parking sensors or added electric heaters etc
It’s a 2 seater commercial I use for carrying a few maintenance tools in (semi retired now)
Have never been off-road in her or my previous D2 which I had for 20yrs commercial too.

Hi Profsr g
Tried your exercise same codes came up minus a couple u codes
Checked a few earth points I could get at all seem good
Have ordered a break out box from Amazon so will do a full test on
The hi and medium can next week (too awkward to use MM where diagnostic point is)
Can you tell me where is the ECM located is it beside the TCCM or on the wall under the glove box
Inside the side panel?
Before I did your exercise I recalibrated the SAS and for a minute there all faults were gone
All looked good 😊
As soon as I connected the Icarsoft faults came back on cluster screen 🙁
What earth points do you think I should check inside cabin?
I noticed on the drivers side the bonnet trim rubber is open at the corner
And a lot leaves dampdust etc around the base of the abs unit
Would that be an issue?
Just pulling a straws at the moment

The PCM is behind the TCM in the compartment behind the battery. Was the ign on, or the engine running when you plugged back in the iCarsoft?

I have noticed that sometimes when plugging in that tool with the ign on, or the engine running can cause temporary faults. Plug it in again with the ign off, clear the faults and switch off the ign. Then remove the tool and see if there is any difference on the next start up.

Forget the earth straps inside the cabin as they will not be an issue. The ABS unit does not seem as yet to be involved given the codes you previously posted, so I'd remain focused specifically on what the codes are telling you for the moment. Forget about the "U" codes for now and focus on any B,C,or P codes. The U codes are comms errors which are a symptom of the "actual" fault/s, 99% of the time not the actual fault themselves!! (so don't waste your time....at least not yet Laughing)

This is an indication of the earth strap locations, concentrate on the ones under the bonnet, the battery, transfer box, and d/s/f wheel arch behind the liner. For the moment, clear the codes and try a start up/drive cycle. Afterwards switch off then plug in the iCarsoft to read the latest B,C, & P, codes and post them here. You can skip the "U" codes for now, but take a screen shot anyway if it's easier than using a pen. Smile

Switch off before unplugging the tool just in case it's causing any issues.

Thanks again for your assistance
Yes I plugged it in while engine was running,
Think my battery charger a bit knackered ancient
Have ordered new one on Amazon with other stuff
Will change out battery as Icarsoft saying installed battery showing
11.7. Although MM says 12.9 and try agin
Thanks
