Have anyone of our faultmate experts confirmed if the MY13 series is fully compatible for upgrades, I thought there was potential some issues wuth its newness, its just I m picking up my new D4 from the Peterborough stealer in two weeks and was hoping to unlock the features, especially if theres someone available with a faultmate between peterborough and the harwich port on 21st/22nd March before the drive back to germany,
Ideally I m after timed heating switched on, possibly some other options?

There has been some confusion and mis understanding about the degree of diagnostic coverage the FAULTMATE MSV-2 currently provides on D4 systems, especially the later 2012/2013 which i would like to clarify.
When the Disco 4 was first introduced, although diagnostically mainly like the Disco 3, it was different in three significant ways.
1) All ECU's on both CAN busses are now 11 Bit CAN, hence no 29 Bit D3 software would work on a D4
2) All ECU's have different anti access security algorithms to prevent access to higher level functions like flashing
3) Some new ECU's were introduced like control panels and Keyless entry.
We were quickly able to port the basic functionality of the existing D3 software and create Disco 4 versions that provided at least the basic functionality but no flashing and no coverage of the New ECU's
Most significantly, although there were changes, we ware also able to provide full CCF Editing.
Many will know that we have since totally completed adding all possible functionality to the D3 and currently we are working hard on adding all possible functionality, including flashing and support of new ECU's to the D4 coverage the MSV-2 provides
In 2012, LR once again made some changes to the D4, but these are solely to do with the Infotainment gateway and the ECU's on the Most Bus.
All other CAN BUS ECU's are unaffected as is the ability to edit the CCF. In fact we have learned that the CCF is now a bit of an unpredictable thing and although we attempt to keep it as up to date as possible, have still introduced counter measures against even by the second changes in it in the form of our new Raw data save and restore function.
I would humbly remind all that once upon a time, the Term CCF was just totally unheard of, and the ability to modify a D3's settings and the way it works regarded as impossible. Yet today it is now an everyday occurrence
Those that remember and have by experience come to know BBS and Me, and have invested in our equipment will happily tell you that you could not be in more capable, caring, considerate, knowledgeable and experienced hands.
