Nico phoned me this afternoon to say they got the patch working
Of course I'll beleive it when I see it myself
Tell Nico Richard says he is talking K K . He tried it on my 2007 and could not get it to work even though he said he did several other D3's it did not work he yes him asked his workshop choppy to log a call with LR UK and we waited for the patch this was in May 2007. There is the full procedure somewhere on the site, I gave that to Nico and he confirmed it with LR UK and it is the same they sent to him. He received a second patch and he tried it first on the 2007 on the floor and did not work.
As I said I took my truck to LR Waterford and they did the NAV on the move in Aug 2007 for me at R850 ex vat on a 2007 model and it works . Speak to Dean Service advisor. White LR3 TDV6 2007

Got the car back today and the entry on the move is indeed working . Best part is they only charged me one hours labour (R380) . But you do lose all your stored waypoints and your 4x4 info screen has very basic colours now .

Don't know how the dealers do it, but with the faultmate it takes about 3 hours total.
First you have to ensure you have a late-model nav dvd in the drive, then load a patch into the touh screen module which takes an hour, then enable nav-on-the-move in the car configuration file, then load the original software (or updated) back into the touch screen which takes another hour.
We never got it working on the 2009, but every model up to that was fine.
It's easy if U bring the car in the afternoon, and leave it with me and I can do something else while the software updates, but if I have to stand there watching it with you then I charge by the hour
