F for Gears, lots of vehicle dynamics errors, at wit's end
please believe me, I have searched high and low before posting this.
I have also now spent 4 days looking.
The car came here for a minor engine repair and some bushes and stabilizer links. Also cracks in the dash platic were repaired.
I had to replace a height sensor twice and hope all would be fine.
Now the boss is mad at me because I can't clean some errors and my Xmas holiday isn't happening.
F on the dash, normal gears dont work in manual mode. Programs disabled.
(P) in orange and red, red sometimes clears. Never goes off.
the park brake lever has no influence, the suspension also does not seem to react. I can move the suspension with IIdtool
Here are the errors.. no rhyme or reason for me.
Parkbrake U100-87
lost communication with engine control module
Suspension U0416-86
invalid data received from vehicle dynamics control module (very mysterious - no explanation in the workshop manual is it the ABS???
Terrain response U0402-94, U0416-94, U021-94
Invalid data received from Transmission control module,
invalid data received from vehicle dynamics control module
invalid data received from ride level control module
Transmission
U2023-86
control module network signal calibration data Bus signal message failure- signal invalid.
I had once or twice C1A43 in the handbrake, which is a H bridge motor error.
But it is gone now.
PLEASE if anybody has a clue it would be very helpful.
No we have no main dealer anywhere near and getting parts takes about 3 weeks by air from Britain.Fixing LR problems very far from Solihull.

thank you I get 14.0 with engine running and 12.6 without.
UPDATE
unplugged the ABS with ignition on an replugged it (that helped me once with something else now the suspension goes up and own nicely. . Still no joy with the Auto box error and all the other errors thoughFixing LR problems very far from Solihull.

you could try this for the "F" on the dash assuming manual gear box

Sorry it is worth 3 weeks + 25 quid postage plus some 20 quid to customs. plus your 15 quid... The worst part is the 3 weeks of which 2 get wasted on bureaucrats.

thank you I will remember that for a manual. Didn't have the experience of a manual F yet but it is bound to come.

I had lots of errors like this after working under the centre console, I had not correctly seated a plug which affected the handbrake switch and the mode switch for suspension etc and it also connects with the gearshift so could affect the manual mode etc, failing that it may be worth making sure that the wiring under the car near the gearbox hasn’t melted on the exhaust or rubbed on the prop as a short in the Can wiring will affect multiple systems

nope.
I simulated one with a button switch because I didn't believe it as the boss took it to RTV a few weeks ago (dreaded annual technical revision) and all lights were fine.

makes perfect sense I had the same idea a few days back and found chocolate on the park brake switch and hair in the round terrain knob.
But no, have done that and only cleared 1 error I didn't mention aboveFixing LR problems very far from Solihull.

The prize goes to you..
I thought it worth trying since IIdtool didn't clear the stuff..
Also I found a half melted and dodgy MAP plug, the MAP was fine and there was a not so nice wire in the CAN bus cable to the ABS ECU.
But only after the hard reset it really worked out.
So... if this happens to you..
Look for chocolate
Check MAP sensor wire and sensor
And do the hard reset.
I still have to sort the erratic hand brake AND it has an electronic rear diff but at least I can get the apprentice to lower the spare wheel and take off the housing.

Glad you sorted it Anette. Your signature says "it's the lack of documentation" that's the problem. Are you aware that you can subscribe to Topix? All the manuals and information are there. It's a subscription service, and I know many don't want to pay for such information, but there is no such thing as free lunch!
I would have thought that living and trying to run a Land Rover in remotest Costa Rica it would be a wise investment?

on 800 USD per month it is simply too expensive.
Yes I own a lot of books and documentation up to the L322. I never was worried about paying ONCE 50-80 quid for a book but now they don't do books
and I have near on everything for the Disco 3 but for instance nothing as to where plugs are located.
The other problem with Topix is as I learned with the old system that it works very slow on a 256k intenret connection.Fixing LR problems very far from Solihull.
